EP. 53 Pat Green on Fishing with Parkinson's Disease

Pat Green grew up fishing in Northern MN with her Grandparents. She developed her passion at a young age, and it followed her into adulthood even though she moved to the Chicago area, Pat would even fish on her lunch hour while working, taking full advantage of the pond that was near where she worked, Lunch hour bluegills were her stress release.
In her early 50's Pat, was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson's disease. Parkinson's is a long-term degenerative disorder of the central nervous system that mainly affects the motor system. The news was devastating, but after her Dr told her to use it or lose it, she hasn't looked back. Listen is as Pat shares some insights into her life, and how fishing has helped her along the way. It may do us all a bit of good, to check in to see if our glass is half empty or half full. -Barb Carey
