Welcome to the very 1st episode of The Woman Angler & Adventurer podcast. The Woman Angler is a bi-monthly show with a mission to inspire women with a passion for fishing and the outdoors to get out there and experience amazing adventures, together blazing a trail for ourselves and generations of women to come. We want to be more active and connected so we will be better equipped to teach and learn from each other and grow together in our fishing and other outdoor pursuits.

In a nutshell, we are here to: INSPIRE, EMPOWER, CONNECT & CATCH MORE FISH!

We hope to accomplish this goal by featuring amazing female anglers and outdoor enthusiasts like our first very special guest, Patti Mercier. Patti is fearless when it comes to diving in and learning new things she is passionate about. It doesn't matter if she's the only woman in a fishing club on an overnight fishing trip, out at the boat ramp launching her hand-me-down 1960 Crestliner fishing boat or heading up publicity for the oldest woman's fishing club, Woman Anglers of Minnesota, with over 400 members. She conquered lung cancer, an experience that only fueled her just get out there and do it attitude. She learned the sport of ice fishing through her involvement in clubs and took her dad ice fishing for the first time, which was a very special experience for them both. Especially since he was the one who introduced her to open water fishing as a child.
