EP. 202 New To Fishing, but She Is Absolutely Hooked! Meet Fancy Pants Fishing Kat Jones.

EP. 202 New To Fishing, but She Is Absolutely Hooked! Meet Fancy Pants Fishing Kat Jones.

This week I'm excited to introduce you to someone who only started fishing in the last couple years, but she's all in. @fancypantsfishing is her Facebook and Instagram handle (go give her a follow!). Her actual name is Kat Jones, and I was thrilled to have the chance to meet her in-person while we were down at Logan Martin for the LBAA Classic.

It's hard to beat the passion of someone who is new to the sport and has a love for it like Kat clearly does. She's even toying with the idea of trying out an LBAA event or 2 next year as a Co-Angler! Kat came to a couple of our weigh-ins during the tournament and I think the ladies may have made a bit of an impression. Alisa Johnson even brought Kat's kids up on stage with her for her weigh-in, and they got to meet and collect autographs from all the qualifiers. It was a special thing to see!

I'm sure you're already familiar with the Iaconelli name, via of course the famed bass angler Mike, affectionately referred to as "Ike." Becky, Mike's wife, does A LOT behind the scenes to help Mike's career as far as sponsorships, marketing and much more.

This week meet a TakeMeFishing.org Women Making Waves WaveMaker Nicole Jacobs. Nicole's main mission is to promote equity and inclusion in the world of bass fishing. She executes her mission very well despite juggling fishing some big pro bass tournaments, being a single mom, and going to grad school!

One of the main slogans on this show has been "if she can do it, you can do it" and that's what this episode is all about. Sharing Nicole's story in order to encourage you to chase your fishing dreams!

EP. 191 Pam Martin-Wells Live Chat About Clinching AOY With the LBAA

EP. 191 Pam Martin-Wells Live Chat About Clinching AOY With the LBAA

Those that follow this podcast also know I do a weekly Monday Night Live Series called The Women's World of Fishing Monday Night Takeover on YouTube and other social media platforms with fellow angler Barbara Harris. This series has been a lot of fun and informative for anglers of all skill levels.

Recently, we were super fortunate to be able to feature on of the winningest female pro bass anglers of all-time, Pam Martin-Wells. To wrap up The Cane River Series of episodes I want to highlight this conversation with Pam as an encore episode of the podcast. It was such a great conversation and Pam is an incredible wealth of knowledge when it comes to bass fishing, I felt it was definitely worth featuring on The Woman Angler & Adventurer podcast as well. Even if you caught the live video, it is worth another listen or two, and be prepared to take notes like I did!

EP. 183 Making the Transition From the Back of the Boat and Mental Mindset

EP. 183 Making the Transition From the Back of the Boat and Mental Mindset
Here's a recap of my 2nd experience being a boater on the Women's Pro Bass Tour Tournament Trail, this time on Lake Hickory in Hickory, NC...a brand new body of water for me...and still a brand new boat, working all the kinks out. All that said, it was better than the 1st go round. However, the cranking battery died in the middle of the day on Day 2...so what happened from there? Listen in to find out!
