EP. 286 Getting More Young Ladies Involved in Junior and High School Fishing With Coach Gary Redic

EP. 286 Getting More Young Ladies Involved in Junior and High School Fishing With Coach Gary Redic

My guest on this week's episode of The Woman Angler & Adventurer podcast is Gary Redic, head coach for the Mount Juliet Junior and High School Fishing Team. We talk about some of the challenges with coaching and the need for more young lady anglers to get involved.

This conversation is a nice precursor to an upcoming series where we will be speaking with some of the ladies who currently fish competitively at the junior and high school level to learn firsthand from their experiences and to help get the word out there that if they can do it, other young ladies can do it too!

We understand it can be a challenge on Monday nights to take the time out and sit down with your device or computer and tune-in, so I decided to share with you the great conversation Barbara Harris and I had with this incomparable woman angler. Now you can listen in on your commute to work or to the shopping mall for those last-minute Christmas gifts.

EP. 204 From Tournament Fishing at the Age of 7 To Passing on the Passion to Her Daughters - Melinda Mize

Tournament Angler Melinda Mize is no stranger to the sport. Both her parents were avid anglers and introduced her to tournament fishing at the young age of 7. She took to it like a fish to water, and it's pretty much been game on ever since. She currently fishes the BFL's, the Toyota SeriesBass Opens, and any local tournaments she can work into her busy schedule.

Now with 2 daughters of her own, Melinda is excited to see how they have taken to the sport as well. It must run in the family!
