EP. 150 Life of Adventure on the Road With Kayla Jocumsen

EP. 150 Life of Adventure on the Road With Kayla Jocumsen
As promised on last week's episode, this week I'm sharing my conversation with Kayla Jocumsen. Kayla is originally from Idaho. Her cousin is four time Elite winner Brandon Palaniuk. She's married to the first ever Australian angler to qualify for the Bassmaster Elite Series, Carl Jocumsen.
Recently she and Carl made a home base in East Tennessee near Chattanooga to be centrally located, but as you'll hear by their upcoming travel schedule, they're not giving up life on the road any time soon.

EP. 58 Becoming an Outdoors Woman

EP. 58 Becoming an Outdoors Woman
Peggy Ferrell is the director of the Becoming an Outdoor Woman program. BOW started in 1990 after a conference at UWSP to explore how they could get more women involved in hunting and fishing. Founded by Christine Thomas, the conference led to the first BOW workshop and now the program is in 38 states and 6 Canadian provinces.

The program has expanded worldwide, and some options include a photo safari in Africa or trip to Iceland or Costa Rica.  BOW currently offers two three day workshops every year. The format is  1/3 shooting and hunting, 1/3 fishing, and 1/3 other classes such as dog sledding, sewing with fur, kayaking, etc.
