I recently had an opportunity to drive to Naples and visit Mangrove Outfitters, where they hosted a women's fly-tying night. I met an excellent female fishing guide, Captain Christina Legutki. Christina recently jumped into guiding as she saw a need for a fly-guide service that caters to women in the area. Susan Thrasher has been teaching students how to fly fish through her Southern Brookies Guide Service and Camp out on the Caney Fork just east of Nashville for some time now. She also heads up an outstanding group of female anglers in Nashville called Music City Fly Girls who meet on a regular basis and take group fly fishing trips together.
