EP. 142 Kate Field on 250 Days of Fishing in One Year and More!
Don't you love it when everything just comes together? I found myself in a jam recently when I suddenly realized I didn't have any more episodes in the can for the next show. I've got an extensive list of possible guests that is ever-growing. So, I pulled it up and started going through it. Kate Field immediately popped out to me. I remembered seeing on Facebook that she recently had a birthday AND she met her goal of fishing 250 days in a year. Perfect!

EP. 138 The Game Changing Rod Holder

EP. 138 The Game Changing Rod Holder

So there's a rod holder I discovered a little while back that's completely changed my fishing game. I finally found one that mounts perfectly onto my pontoon rails...it's quick release! No more fumbling around to undo a strap to set the hook. How does it keep your rod secure without a strap? You're about to find out!

On this week's episode, you'll meet Cari and Jason Begin, the family behind Stealth Quick Release Rod Holders. You're going to love the story on how Jason was inspired to create the innovative rod holder.

EP. 125 No Girls Allowed: Christina Weber Shares Her Experiences as a Fisherman

EP. 125 No Girls Allowed: Christina Weber Shares Her Experiences as a Fisherman

Imagine this scenario: You start tournament fishing the Bassmaster Youth Trail at 15 years old because you're so fired up and passionate about the sport.  You turn 18 and are now too old to continue fishing the trail so what do you do next? Logically you look for a local club to join...but wait...they don't allow girls?

This is the scenario that happened to this week's guest, Florida angler Christina Weber. Since 15 it seems like Christina's done a little bit of everything in fishing. From fishing tournaments to public speaking (she's really good by-the-way!) to kayak fishing to running a skiff. What's next? Fly fishing? There are no limits!

EP. 73 Big Dreams to Have a Career in the Fishing Industry: Lee Rose Koza with Traditions Media Mentor Dena Vick
It was a pleasure running into our friend Dena Vick recently at iCast. Barb has known Dena for some time and Angie had the pleasure meeting her this past fall at the Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers Conference in Bismark, ND. They were happy to finally have her on the show, together and in-person, as Dena is a major player in the fishing industry. She was recently promoted to Director of Fishing and Marine Marketing Strategy and Communications at Traditions Media which is one of the top fishing media companies in the US.
