EP. 265 How to Travel Better and Make Your Outdoor Experience Nuisance Free With Space Trailer and Parakito

EP. 265 How to Travel Better and Make Your Outdoor Experience Nuisance Free With Space Trailer and Parakito
This week's episode is the 1st in a series featuring some extraordinary ladies I met at this year's Outdoor Media Summit in Incline Village, North Lake Tahoe.

They jam back a lot of information and events in a concise amount of time, so no sooner did I check into the hotel than I met up with Mari Bodensteiner with Space Trailers and Tracey Brown from Parakito. We'd never met before, but we instantly hit it off and had a fun conversation talking about expectations at the Summit and the incredible products they represent.

EP. 58 Becoming an Outdoors Woman

EP. 58 Becoming an Outdoors Woman
Peggy Ferrell is the director of the Becoming an Outdoor Woman program. BOW started in 1990 after a conference at UWSP to explore how they could get more women involved in hunting and fishing. Founded by Christine Thomas, the conference led to the first BOW workshop and now the program is in 38 states and 6 Canadian provinces.

The program has expanded worldwide, and some options include a photo safari in Africa or trip to Iceland or Costa Rica.  BOW currently offers two three day workshops every year. The format is  1/3 shooting and hunting, 1/3 fishing, and 1/3 other classes such as dog sledding, sewing with fur, kayaking, etc.
