She grew up on a cattle ranch on the Knife River in North Dakota. The outdoors has been in her blood from the beginning- hunting, fishing, training horses, raising cattle, you name it, she has probably done it!
Meet my guest this week, Rebecca Wanner a.k.a. Bec. Bec is now a radio and podcast host of multiple shows including "The Bend" and "Ranch It Up."
March is Women in Sports Month, and sometimes it seems fishing takes a back seat when it comes to these types of celebrations in the world of sports, but we're bringing it to the forefront here on The Woman Angler & Adventurer Podcast!
To kick it off, we're honored to welcome longtime editor of Sport Fishing Magazine, Chris Woodward. Chris has worked in the fishing industry for 30+ years and has a unique perspective seeing how the industry has evolved over the years when it comes to women in the sport.
Welcome to this very special 4th Anniversary Edition of The Woman Angler & Adventurer Podcast!
It's a rarity that a podcast makes it more than a few episodes let alone 4 years, and that is a testament to you the listener! This show would definitely not still be going if we didn't have your continuous support. It is clear there is still a need for this platform and with that said, we are dedicated to continuing on for the long haul.
This week I invite you to enjoy a slightly condensed audio version of a recent Women's World of Fishing Monday Night Facebook/YouTube Live featuring professional bass angler Stephanie Hemphill-Pellerin.
We understand it can be a challenge on Monday nights to take the time out and sit down with your device or computer and tune-in, so I decided to share with you the great conversation Barbara Harris and I had with this incomparable woman angler. Now you can listen in on your commute to work or to the shopping mall for those last-minute Christmas gifts.
