In this week's episode of The Woman Angler & Adventurer podcast, Sea Tow Foundation's Executive Director Gail Kulp joins us again to talk about another very important program spearheaded by the foundation. It's called the Sober Skipper Program. I'm honored to be a part of the Sober Skipper Program National Advisory Council. At Freedom Boat Club, we take boating under the influence very seriously. In fact, your membership would be terminated if caught doing so. That's one reason we're strong supporters of the program which is centered around the idea that boaters need to designate a sober skipper before leaving the dock. They have yellow wristbands that can be ordered by going to their website. They even have programs in place with certain on-the-water restaurants to give discounts to those seen worn the yellow wristbands as a thank you for being a sober skipper. If you're a social media influencer or represent a brand in the marine or fishing industry that you'd like to get some help promoting, consider shooting a quick boating safety tip video in front of your brand and submitting it to angie@thewomanangler.com. It can be a simple selfie video (we do ask that it be shot horizontal). The Sea Tow Foundation will share it on their socials as a way to help spread the message of boating safety and in turn, your brand will gain exposure on their far-reaching platforms.
