EP. 213 Freshwater Hall of Fame Outdoor Communicator Kenneth L. Kieser on the History of Women in Fishing, Teaching Challenged Youth To Fish and More!

Kenneth L. Kieser has had a long career and successful career as an outdoor communicator. For more than 46 years, he's been writing and sharing stories from the heart covering things like waterfowl hunting, trout fishing, women in fishing and so much more. His work has garnered him multiple awards, including being inducted into the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame as well as the Waterfowlers Hall of Fame.

I first met Kenny at the Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers conference back in 2018 in Bismark, ND. We got to go fishing together on the Missouri River thanks to Angler Qwest pontoons. On that day, I remember learning so much about his career and his connection to some of the amazing women behind the growth of female competitive bass fishing such as Sugar Ferris and Carol Boykin. We also discuss the work he's done to teach mentally and physically challenged kids to fish.
