Southeast Fisheries Policy Director
Martha Guyas is the Southeast Fisheries Policy Director for the American Sportfishing Association. In this role, she represents the sportfishing industry in discussions with state and federal legislative personnel, resource management agencies, and conservation partners in Florida and the southeast. She serves on several federal fisheries management advisory committees and was recently designated an Alternate (Recreational) United States Commissioner to the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas. Previously, she worked on state-federal fishery management issues at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and served as the FWC’s designee on the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council and other federal fishery management advisory bodies. She earned her M.S. in marine biology from the Florida Institute of Technology and B.S. from Wake Forest University.
