Skipper of Team Justagirl, Fishing Host for FishignTrips with Skip
Skip, also known as Tracey Tito, is the skipper of Team Justagirl and offshore tournament female fishing crew, the only one in Australia. The producer and editor of Australia's first and only all-female fishing TV series, Get Hooked with Team Justagirl. This created an amazing reaction by female anglers wanting to join her fishing but unable to make the crew commitment, Fishing trips with Skip was created to fill this gap and give ladies the opportunity to go fishing with Skip. Another Tv show was born “A Fishing trip with Skip – to Darwin” is currently on air.
Skip is passionate about empowering women to take control and go fishing, helping them learn all aspects of the sport while building confidence to face life’s challenges. Fishing is not just about catching a fish, it’s about empowerment and inspiration.
After being diagnosed with cancer in 2013, Skip chose to radically change her life. She sold her financial planning business of 30 years to focus entirely on her passion for fishing, leading to the creation of Team Justagirl with her daughter, Ren. Skip is a well-known figure in the fishing community, holding several Australian fishing records. She organizes fishing trips and events that bring people together, particularly to inspire women in the sport.
In addition to fishing, she writes for Club Marine magazine and leads various women-centred fishing adventures that combine learning with an empowering community experience.
Skip is also the creator and host of Fishing Trips with Skip, where she has led women on 7-day fishing adventures across Australia and internationally, New Zealand, Fiji and Samoa in November. Additionally, she collaborates with Tourism SA and host’s one-day fishing adventures in South Australia.
