If you've ever wondered what goes into creating those beautiful lifelike mounts of your trophy whitetail deer or fish, this episode is for you! Meet Josette Robison, owner of Trails End Taxidermy in Keosauqua, Iowa.
Josette is an avid outdoors-woman and her love of hunting and fishing is what led her down the road to becoming a taxidermist. She went to school in Janesville, WI and then dug in!
It's amazing how many skills one needs to have in order to be a good taxidermist. It's definitely an art form. You need to be able to do everything from airbrushing, sewing, pottery, carpentry, and more! Oh- and then there's people skills. A lot of care and attention to detail must go into creating a beautiful mount of someone's trophy kill.
Listen in to this week's episode with Josette and enjoy!
