On this episode of The Woman Angler & Adventurer podcast, we recap the 2023 LBAA Classic at Bull Shoals Lake. But hold onto your fishing rods because that's not all! Some groundbreaking news is about to break on the future of the LBAA Women's Pro Bass Tour!
This week's special guest, Craig LaPointe, owner of Anchor Pointe Resort - the tournament headquarters for the Classic, discusses Bull Shoals Lake and the unique challenges it presented with the varied conditions.
I share my experience figuring out the optimal fishing pattern in the changing October weather. My strategy started exploring the backs of coves and targeting docks, then moved onto the main lake and secondary points, bluff walls with standing timber, and shallow buck brush to secure a 10th-place finish.
But now, let's dive into the big announcement - the future of the Lady Bass Angler's Association Women's Pro Bass Tour! The LBAA plans to revolutionize the women's pro bass tour, making it bigger and better than ever.
With new strategies and ideas brewing, the LBAA is committed to providing even more opportunities for women anglers to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level.
Stay tuned to The Woman Angler & Adventurer podcast for updates on these exciting new changes that aim to set the world of women's competitive bass fishing on fire.
Thanks to Cheryl Bowden and Secret York for co-founding the LBAA 13 years ago as they hand off the torch to a hungry new leadership team.
Last but not least, congratulations to our 1st Place finisher on the Pro side, Lynda Gessner, and 2nd Place finisher, Teri Cindric, our 2023 Angler of the Year!
