It was a pleasure running into our friend Dena Vick recently at iCast. Barb has known Dena for some time and Angie had the pleasure meeting her this past fall at the Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers Conference in Bismark, ND. They were happy to finally have her on the show, together and in-person, as Dena is a major player in the fishing industry. She was recently promoted to Director of Fishing and Marine Marketing Strategy and Communications at Traditions Media which is one of the top fishing media companies in the US.
A wealth of great information about the fishing industry and all the latest products, Dena had a promising young angler alongside her who wants to one day do what she does. Lee Rose Koza had the unique opportunity to shadow her mentor at the largest fishing conference in the country. It was great speaking with her as well and getting her perspective on the conference, high school fishing and fishing scholarships of which Lee Rose is no stranger. She is a proud recipient of a fishing scholarship to Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, TN! Be on the lookout for this rising star!
