Today we chat with Pam Martin-Wells! If you are involved in fishing in any manner, then you know who Pam Martin-Wells is, or you have at least heard of her. She has been in professional fishing for many years and she even came in 22nd place in the 2010 Bassmaster Classic after she had earned her entry by winning the Angler of the Year in the Women's Pro Bass Tour, which shortly after this Classic, was canceled. Over the last decade, she has been fishing a LOT. She has been a coach at Emmanuel College for their fishing team for the last couple of years, plus she fishes some tournaments with her husband. However, the main thing that sticks out to most people is how dominating she has been on the Lady Bass Anglers Association (LBAA) Tour every single year. The Lady Professionals are well aware of the fact that every tournament this Georgia Pro enters, they have her to contend with. Pam has won many tournaments, many AOYs, cashed many checks, and without question, is one of the best female anglers of our time.

You can visit https://www.ladybassanglers.com/tournament-info/past-results.html to look at past results of the Lady Bass Anglers Association where you undoubtedly will see Pam's name in print for the multitude of tournaments won as well as the Angler of the Year Awards she has won over the decade the LBAA has been operating. The bottom line is this. It doesn't matter where Pam competes or who she is competing against. You can put her on any body of water against the very best male anglers in the country and/or the very best female anglers in the country, and at the end of the tournament, you will know her name! She has had the passion for fishing since childhood that has helped to drive her to work and fine tune her skills. She has that competitive edge, love for the sport, and desire to be the best. On days it seems impossible to catch a fish, she stays on the water determined to catch a fish, not just because it's what she loves to do, but b/c those impossible days happen a lot in tournaments. Each day on the water is a personal challenge between her and the fish. That is a dangerous combination if you are competing against a person with those characteristics. Perhaps that is why Pam Martin-Wells is one of the all-time greats and so dangerous with a fishing pole. Now that we are sure that everyone is up to speed on her, let's hear about her journey this year, the run for Angler of the Year, and how she managed to clinch the win for the Tournament and AOY.
